Weston Super Mare Tropicana

When tourists travel hundreds of miles to visit the Tropicana, it is telling every one that there is a NEED for this kind of development. That’s why it was built in the first place.
Because the Tropicana has encouraged tourists to the area, the local shops have benefited financially. This being the case the Tropicana is a building that should be given as much preference as possible - not knocked down, as is now intended by North Somerset Council.
The building is such an ASSET, with the introduction of careful, sympathetic redevelopment on a larger scale. More families in Britain would benefit.
Planning is about the future and creating Buildings of Architectural interest, incorporated with long term financial plans for the future. The Tropicana can do both if only North Somerset Council had enough foresight to see this. (Any fool can knock something down).

I have this to say North Somerset Council STOP YOUR DITHERING. THINK about the financial rewards to the local areas, and how it would keep people employed, as well as the enjoyment it would create, which we all need.
YOU North Somerset Council owe this to your public. So do your duty, re-evaluate the total cost because so far you’ve done nothing.
